Prison Ministry
He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge.

A group of our ladies, making up the UNDER HIS WINGS Ministry Team, train through the prisons to be volunteers in the prisons. They meet regularly to visit women being held in area prisons. This team prepares by praying together for the opportunities that God will provide on that visit. They are able to do one-on-one evangelism with the women. As another part of their ministry, our ladies collect Indigent Supplies for the women that are needed on a monthly basis. These supplies are for women who have no financial support from home. Without these supplies they would be using soap (similar to lye soap) and unpleasant tooth powder issued by TDCJ. We share in this ministry as we bring the items for distribution. We do make a difference.
Sandy Biles, Chaplain, Lucille G. Plane State Jail, said recently in a letter to Joyce Hill and Brad Gardner, "The women who have no support from their families are equally grateful. Without your compassionate giving spirit, many of our ladies would have to do without deodorant, toothpaste, soap (other than lye soap), and shampoo as these are not supplied to them by TDCJ. Because of your help, we were able to meet the needs of at least 160 ladies this month. This may seem a small thing to you but, believe me, it is a very big deal to each one of the women who receive them."
God says, "When we help the least of these we are ministering to Him and you have done that with your gifts of hygiene items. Please extend our heartfelt thanks to each one who contributed to your donation. We pray God's blessing on them all."
COLLECTION TUBS WILL BE AVAILABLE IN THE SOUTH LOBBY DURING THE MONTH OF MARCH.
