W.E.L.C.O.M.E. baby ministry provides comfort and encouragement to parents of infants who are hospitalized in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) due to pre-term birth, illness, or birth trauma. We provide gift bags to families and include a New Testament Bible, the baby's birthstone, baby booties, and a stuffed toy. This gift encourages parents who are feeling overwhelmed and isolated during their baby's hospitalization. We show them God's love and demonstrate that they are not alone.

Additional resources and gifts to hospitals that we provide are baby quilts, bed bumpers, hats, preemie outfits and bereavement gifts. In five years, over four thousand gift bags have been distributed locally.

W.E.L.C.OM.E. was founded as a direct result of one mom's NICU experience with the loss of premature twins and late, a premature survivor. God has used this experience to directly minister to hurting families in our community. It is clear to our church, and everyone who is involved, that God's blessings are on this ministry. How else could so much have been accomplished in so little time?

Ladies are invited to meet quarterly at our overnight Quilt Till You Wilt, which is fellowship time that includes sewing, cutting, gluing, crocheting, etc. We provide materials and teach you to make baby gifts. Other volunteers help by sewing or crocheting in their time at home, in between QTYW gatherings.

W.EL.C.O.M.E. gifts are distributed at Clear Lake Regional and St. Joseph's (downtown) to every NICU family, year round. Gifts are distributed seasonally (2 or more times a year) at Hermann, Texas Children's, The Woman's Hospital, John Sealy Galveston, Conroe Regional, Houston Northwest, and Hermann Southwest. Additionally we are active in providing bereavement gifts to families following miscarriage, abortion, pregnancy and newborn loss. Contact person:
